Was in a craft swap!!!

I participated in a craft swap/gift exchange at www.craftaholicsanonymous.net. We were each given a partner, mine was Tiffany from Kansas. We  e-mailed and I found out her colors are pink and brown.

I  made her a brown neck cozy with a pink pin, matching brown ear warmers with a brown pin, a chunky,  pretty posy pin of course in pinks and another flower pin layered in 3 different colors. I also sent along a small bag of goodies I send to my customers... I hope she likes what I sent her. It was fun, I can't wait to see what I get!!!

Summer happenings.....

This summer has been really busy despite our not scheduling things to do. The girls and I helped out with VBS at our church.

We also tie-dyed small backpacks as a missions project to send to Latin America. It was fun, 160 dyed with the teen youth group.

We had alot of dye left over so anyone who brought a t-shirt could tie-dye. These are the one's I did in the dark for the girls. They turned out great, the best one's I ever dyed!!!

My friend Pam and I went up to Stockton to Woodsedge Wools Farm for their fiber festival. This is the shop, The outside is huge and looks like a house.  The inside is beautiful to with lots of yummy alpaca items to buy.
The farm has 300 Alpaca's. This is the first time I have ever seen them, they are the cutest  animal and make the best yarn from their fleece.
This is my friend Pam, she is the best knitter ever. She was making a really cool sweater, this is her favorite color.♥
The girls after the show, it was in 3D, they got these cute Harry Potter glasses. My mom bought them the shirts. they each like different houses....

We were lucky to be able to go to Brick, down the shore for the weekend. We stayed at our friends Sue and Beth's hose. They have a great deck and a nice big pool.  We also went to the Tom's river ice cream festival. It was a nice weekend.
Victoria and Allie enjoying the pool.

Allie, Bailey the rat dog, we were watching him for my sister-in-law, Victoria and Gizmo Sue's dog and Beth.
                                                                   Harry potter tickets...............
Me, Victoria, Jeff and Allie in Bayville at the bay.
Jeff and the girls goofing off in the pool.
Chemo hats I made for RAJKpatterns hat drive. I sent 4 to Alabama today in the girls name in honor of Nana~Evelyn Procek who passed away from colon cancer. We hope this will bring peace and comfort to the recipient.
I have been into recycling t-shirts, these are some bracelets I made. Came out really cool. It's amazing how many things you can make from t-shirts. Anybody want to send or give me some please do so.

Finally in June we ran down to Maryland real quick and had some oral surgery done. Jeff had an infection, I am getting an implant and Victoria had 4 wisdom teeth removed. This is Lumbo our good friend who performed all the surgeries and Vic with her ice pack Christi his wife devised....

Hope everyone is having a great summer. Please check out my etsy shop www.yarnfreak.etsy.com and my fan facebook page

Crochet scarves and Victoria `~♥~`

Some more new scarves I have been working on ~ This is a big thick and chunky wrap around circle scarf. These are really warm and look really great on.

This can be made in any color and worn under a jacket or over a shirt ~
This is the same scarf but with a slight variation on the stitch. Done in a thick and yummy barley color. This color goes well with everything.
You can wear this wrapped over once or not wrapped at all, either way it looks fab!
Chef Vic came home today with some wonderful goodies she made in baking today.  She made me the sunflowers and Allie the oreo cookie cupcake, needless to say we were very happy indeed......................
Victoria with her nice new Land's End jacket she got for Christmas from Gi-Gi and her new Ugg boots we bought her for her 16th birthday!!♥
Nice classic Uggs, she will not take them off, they feel that great.

Our sweet Victoria, happy 16th birthday!
She also made the heart shaped bagel. She had the idea and made them for the bakery in her shop. I had one ~ yummy♥

Victoria is the bagel queen. Happy hump day and let me tell you this has been a tough week. We are so use to having a day off from school or a delayed opening from all the snow in the past month that it's been murder going all day... lol We have off next Friday and Monday so there is hope! Have a great night.

My daughter Victoria is turning 16 on February 14th, Valentines Day. I can hardly believe it, time has just flown by. Soon she will be driving.
Because my husband still has not found a full time Job from being laid off almost 2 years ago we can not have a Sweet 16 party for her. This makes me sad but she is ok with it.

I took her to the mall yesterday and was able to get her Ugg boots. We found the pair she wanted and she is thrilled. I was able to do this only because I have sold quite a few scarves to friends and co-workers. I  thank God for them every day. We also got her a Free Hugs bracelet from Hot Topic and a Perry the Platypus hat from Wal-mart.
On Valentine's Day we plan to use coupons and take her and the family out to dinner to Red Lobster. My parents are joining us for the celebration.
We also decided she could have 5 girlfriends sleep over next Saturday.... So all in all I think she will have a nice birthday...
I thought it would be fun to make the girls crocheted cupcake favors. I started them yesterday. I added a lot of rice to the bottom to help it stand correctly and weigh it down. I am not sure if I like how the bottoms turned out, maybe a bit fat, but they aer all made and the rice has been inserted, just waiting for the tops.
Here are a few pictures of the cupcakes in progress..... I will post more when they are done and of course the party.
The different colored yarn I am using. I am making 7 in total...
The fat ( I think) cupcake bases filled with rice to help balance the finished cupcake.
These are the materials I am using to make the cupcakes, yarn and rice.
Picture of 2 finished cupcakes, 5 more to go! I also added a hanger to the top of the cherry in case they want to hang it. This can always be cut off if they don't want it.
Gotta run and go pick up my husband form work, watch the Super Bowl, listen to some yelling and eat some good food!!! The girls went to a Super Bowl party with their youth group!!!
Life is good! :)

Beautiful Crochet Pins

Well, here they are. I got this pattern on Etsy, I am always looking for new and unusual flower patterns to embellish stuff. I thought these would make fabulous pins. Was I right? I think so..quick and easy to make too!!! I used Vanna yarn and went to town, made 24....

Here is a picture of the finished pins...
Two in every color. They would look great on a jacket, purse, tote, hat anywhere.

I LOVE♥ them!!!!!!! How about you?
Doing wash, it's a beautiful day to hang the clothes outside to dry. Allie is at another band competition today, they came in 3rd place again yesterday. And Victoria has cramps and is watching TV. It's a really nice day out here in NJ. Off to do more wash ~ then I want to finish a purse I started from another Etsy seller. Will post pictures as soon as I am done. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this purse!

Yes, I am still alive!!!!

It's been awhile. Have not really had to much time to blog or even work on my Etsy shop. Work started for me again in Sept. I am an aide in 2nd grade at the local school. So far this year has been trying to say the least. I come home tired everyday.

Hopefully I am getting use to working again after having the summer off and basically being lazy..
My husband went to Maryland today to visit our good friends.
He went to a hockey game tonight and is going to see Roger Waters do The Wall tomorrow. We are so blessed to have such great friends who do nice things for us!!!♥♥

I made earwarmers and wristwarmers for the girls as a gift for treating Jeff so nice. I really like how they turned out and plan on making more.... Maybe Christmas gifts.............

Will try to post tomorrow on the beautiful crocheted pins I am working on...

Way to busy!!!

Hello, just a short, short post. Have been so busy these past few weeks. Did a Christmas Boutique at a church in town last weekend. I was crazy for 2 weeks packaging and pricing all my stuff, as it turns out I had way more than I thought. Will be participating in another sale in December. At least it's all done, and ready to go for the nest sale. I will be making more scarves, hats and fingerless gloves for the sale. I will post pictures from the past weekends fun that my daughter took with my new camera soon. We are still learing how to use it.

Thank You Mrs. Kime!!!! And Crazy Vic ~

My husband and kids were raking leaves tonight, seems like we had alot in our front yard. Crazy Victoria wanted to make a pile and jump in. So I took a few pictures. She actually had a really great time running and jumping into the pile. Look for yourself. Allie however wanted nothing to do with it. Her loss it looks like.

Hello!!!!!!

Oh the thrill of the jump................................

Ouch!!!! Head first, did I really want to land that way????????? Going for another try...... WOO HOO this is fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was fun, can I go again mom?????

Actually it was cold by that time and we went inside, but she had fun while it lasted....

A teacher at my school who also just happened to be both my girls 3rd grade teacher ordered 6 pairs of black fingerless gloves from me, with a possible order of more. Wow, I have to tell you this came at a great time. I was getting nervous as to how I was going to pay for Christmas gifts and this will really help. Plus I love her as do my kids. She is such a beautiful person and awesome teacher!!!!

Look how I packaged them ~ This was genius if I do say so myself.

They each went into a black and white box. The tissue paper was white with different colored glitter which I thought was festive. The gloves were folded and placed in the box along with care instructions, my card and a sample face scrubbie. The box was then topped off with a red ribbon bow and a To: From: tag that I punched to match the box. I have to say I would LOVE to get this as a gift. Read on......

My parents had a yard sale this past week and so with our few left over items and new things we wanted to get rid of we participated. Our booty was not so good this time. However due to the rain they are having it again next week. So we will see how that goes. Anyway the best part................

My mom was selling these towers, filled with candy, brand new for the upcoming holidays. Something happened and they had to take the candy out of the boxes. I saw them and thought what a great container for my fingerless gloves. She gave me 6 boxes and the matching red ribbon from the original towers. How utterly perfect. I think they are fab!!!!!!! I just hope she likes them. I tried to make them special...

The finished boxes and a little something for Mrs. Kime as a thank you for her order... more soon about the cute bird pin attached to the package.

I treated myself......

I was looking on Etsy yesterday and found a really cool shop. www.thefancifulfeline.etsy.com She makes the most beautiful covered crochet hooks out of polymer clay. Since I LOVE to crochet, can't hardly breathe without it, I decided to treat myself to a special hook. I choose an I hook. I use that size often and would love to have a hook that has a little eye candy. Mine has colorful flowers and butterflies on the handle. I can't wait for it to come and start using it. I feel so special. I don't know how to attach the actual picture of the hook I purchased, just click on the website above and you will be in her shop. Enjoy ~ I know I will.

A beautiful Saturday!

This is the table on my deck, As you can see I love the beach and candles. I just love looking over there at the table while I am sitting and reading on the other side of the deck. It make me happy!
This is the other new thing I am into ~ recycled bookmarks. I have made 10 so far and am having the hardest time parting with even one... Theya re so much fun to make, and the more recycled stuff you use the cooler it looks. I think so anyway>>>>

This is how it looks on a book. Not the best focused picture but I was to lazy to snap another one. LOL

A close up of four of them, I don't know I like them all. thay are all so different, depending on what I have laying around that I can use.

This is how they look in the back. I think I may sign and date them before I give them away.

This is the front of all ten of them, oh I just love them!!!♥♥♥
These are my new business cards that Michele from Sweetire designed for me. They are the best! I got them last week and am dying to hand them out.

So now you can see why I love these sponges so much. Besides being totally fabulous, cotton is very absorbent so they are practical to.

Today is so beautiful. Not to hot or cold, just about the perfect day ever. I started the day by doing two loads of wash and hung them out to dry on the clothesline, I love how clothes smell when they are dried outside. I read a bit and of course crocheted. My new obsession are kitchen sponges. I got the pattern from Etsy. I just love them. I am trying to cut down and reuse as much as possible and these are perfect. Big and juicy machine washable and I can make any color I want!! WOO HOO!!!

Peace, love♥, and crochet... Have a great Labor Day!!!!
