My daughter Victoria is turning 16 on February 14th, Valentines Day. I can hardly believe it, time has just flown by. Soon she will be driving.
Because my husband still has not found a full time Job from being laid off almost 2 years ago we can not have a Sweet 16 party for her. This makes me sad but she is ok with it.
I took her to the mall yesterday and was able to get her Ugg boots. We found the pair she wanted and she is thrilled. I was able to do this only because I have sold quite a few scarves to friends and co-workers. I thank God for them every day. We also got her a Free Hugs bracelet from Hot Topic and a Perry the Platypus hat from Wal-mart.
On Valentine's Day we plan to use coupons and take her and the family out to dinner to Red Lobster. My parents are joining us for the celebration.
We also decided she could have 5 girlfriends sleep over next Saturday.... So all in all I think she will have a nice birthday...
I thought it would be fun to make the girls crocheted cupcake favors. I started them yesterday. I added a lot of rice to the bottom to help it stand correctly and weigh it down. I am not sure if I like how the bottoms turned out, maybe a bit fat, but they aer all made and the rice has been inserted, just waiting for the tops.
Here are a few pictures of the cupcakes in progress..... I will post more when they are done and of course the party.
The different colored yarn I am using. I am making 7 in total...
The fat ( I think) cupcake bases filled with rice to help balance the finished cupcake.
These are the materials I am using to make the cupcakes, yarn and rice.
Picture of 2 finished cupcakes, 5 more to go! I also added a hanger to the top of the cherry in case they want to hang it. This can always be cut off if they don't want it.
Gotta run and go pick up my husband form work, watch the Super Bowl, listen to some yelling and eat some good food!!! The girls went to a Super Bowl party with their youth group!!!
Life is good! :)

Beautiful Crochet Pins
Here is a picture of the finished pins...
Two in every color. They would look great on a jacket, purse, tote, hat anywhere.
I LOVE♥ them!!!!!!! How about you?
Doing wash, it's a beautiful day to hang the clothes outside to dry. Allie is at another band competition today, they came in 3rd place again yesterday. And Victoria has cramps and is watching TV. It's a really nice day out here in NJ. Off to do more wash ~ then I want to finish a purse I started from another Etsy seller. Will post pictures as soon as I am done. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this purse!

Yes, I am still alive!!!!
It's been awhile. Have not really had to much time to blog or even work on my Etsy shop. Work started for me again in Sept. I am an aide in 2nd grade at the local school. So far this year has been trying to say the least. I come home tired everyday.
Hopefully I am getting use to working again after having the summer off and basically being lazy..
My husband went to Maryland today to visit our good friends. He went to a hockey game tonight and is going to see Roger Waters do The Wall tomorrow. We are so blessed to have such great friends who do nice things for us!!!♥♥
I made earwarmers and wristwarmers for the girls as a gift for treating Jeff so nice. I really like how they turned out and plan on making more.... Maybe Christmas gifts.............
Will try to post tomorrow on the beautiful crocheted pins I am working on...

Happy Mother's Day!!!! ♥♥♥
This is a picture of me and my girls ~ Allie and Victoria ~
Me, my sister Donna and mom........
These are the beautiful flowers the girls gave me for Mother's Day!
The 2nd grade class I work in made these "flower pots" for Mother's Day. They are so colorful, I still have the one Allie made me when she was in 2nd grade. She is in 6th now~
Woke up this morning, went to church, helped out with the ladies retreat, talked to alot of people I had not seen in a while, came home then we went to my parents. Had a nice time there had some good snacks and great cheesecake. It was not Vic's but it was good. We took alot of fun and silly pictures, got my dad to smile and even laugh for a photo. He never does he is so SERIOUS. Came home and relaxed and crocheted while watching Baby Boom on TV.
All in all it was a nice day. The girls with the help of my mom gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It really brightens up my family room. I wish it was a bit warmer, it was really cold here and it's suppose to be cold again tomorrow.

Good to be back!!! ~ ♥ ~
This is a picture of us Jeff, Victoria, Buddy ~ The Cake Boss ~ Allie, me and A friend Kerri in Hoboken N.J. Our Pastor's daughter, Leslie works for him. We were lucky enough to met him and the gang and have a tour. Victoria was in her glory. She whats to be a "Cake Boss" and go to school at the CIA. She is in baking now in Vo-tech and LOVING it and so are we, with all the goodies she brings home!!!!!

Hi! It's good to be back and writing a new post. This past year has been really hard for us. My husband lost his job over 1 year ago and we have been struggling ever since. Thank goodness for great family, friends and prayer. We are just trying to get thru one day at a time.
We have had to change the way we live, this has been a POSITIVE thing that has come out of all this. We are conserving energy, recycling what we can and spending less. I have always wanted to live a simpler life and now we are. We learn something new every day. This situation has also brought our family closer. We need to work and help each other.
We are finding wonder in everyday things. I just wish we were not so stressed out about paying the bills. This is where the problem is and what to do when you don't have the money. Any and all ideas are welcomed. This is how we learn to cope by other people's experiences. I know in my heart that God will provide a job for Jeff and that we are luckier than most.
I am going to update my etsy shop, http://www.yarnfreak.etsy.com/ check it out. I have alot of really fun things to add ~ peace sign bookmarks, washcloths, dishcloths, potholders, scrubbies all in really fun bright colors. Thank goodness for my crocheting and knitting. It really relaxes me and makes me feel good that I am making something beautiful. I also have a fan page on Facebook that I am trying to get together. It's a bit hard for me as I am really terrible with the computer. If you want to be a fan that would be really cool! I have 23 so far and that is just a wonderful feeling! There is a button for my fan page at the top of the blog or you can go to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!! on Facebook. I am also trying to figure out Ravelry, if you want to be a friend there I am purling angel. So bear with me as little by little I get this together and as always thanks for all the LOVE and support.♥♥♥
I leave everyone with a goodbye for now and a Happy Mothers Day for all the moms tomorrow. We will be going to my parents house in the afternoon for dessert. A low~key but nice day. After Church I just want to relax and maybe read or crochet a bit.....
LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!
