Here is a closeup of that fab pin I am so in love with. Now you know why I love it!

The grey neck cozy she is wearing is also from a pattern by boutiquepinkdesigns. I love this cozy!! Again I made it in chunky grey yarn with that fab pink flower. I also added a black bow under the flower. The flower is detachable as it is with the hat and can be worn on a jacket, tote bag or wherever. I just love that flower! I think I have made about 20 so far. They make a great pin.

First off we have some exciting news.... my niece Kristin is in labor. yes right now. She was induced at 8pm tonight. Allie is so cute and so excited ~ she said t me Mommy "How long does it take? It's been 2 hrs" LOL I told her go to bed and in the morning yu will have a new baby girl cousin...♥♥♥'

Needless to say have been making all kinds of stuff and gathering all sorts of fun and unique stuff from etsy. Will post pictures as soon asthey are available.

She has a beautiful blog and some cool free knitting patterns.

I made this hat out of chunky grey yarn and used the flower pattern which I am mad for from boutiquepinkdesigns. I think grey is fast becoming a favorite color.

Anyway Allie looks adorable,she was made to wear hats!!!

I also made this hat in blue, with brown roses. It looks great either way.

Things I've been crocheting♥♥

Allie really loves her new black fingerless gloves, she wants a pair in grey now to match a really cool knitted hat I made her!!

We sure love our ladybugs and the color black to.......♥

These are the first try at the pattern I got from http://www.down---to---earth.blogspot.com/. I have made plenty of crocheted fingerless gloves but none knitted. This looked like an easy pattern as I had not knitted in awhile. They turned out well. I have tweaked the pattern to my liking. This picture is from Rhonda's blog. A great blog I might add. I have been readng it now for over a week.

This really adorable ladybug wristlet and change purse was made especially for Aleksandra for Christmas by my good friend Michele at http://www.sweetirie.etsy.com/. She does great work. Her fabrics are such fun. Plus she is so sweet!!! Go check out her shop and tell her I sent you♥♥♥♥

This hat Allie is wearing was suppose to have been a neck cozy. The pattern did not work out and joking I said this would make a cute hat. Allie thought so to, she grabbed it for herself and looks cute in it. It's made of chunky ecru yarn so it's nice and warm. The cute flower on the side is from a pattern I bought from http://www.boutiquepinkdesigns.etsy.com/. the flower is made from homespun, in a really cool bluish color. She is one of my favorite designers and so incredibly nice. All in all I like how the hat turned out. I still need to make the cozy!! ~ Peace ~ Debbie♥♥

That's it for Christmas, we all had a nice time. We enjoyed our families in NJ and in Pa. Ate great food and got alot of nice thngs from Santa. I am caught up!!!

I got a Tom Tom from Jeff. We have named him Thomas. Now I have no excuse for getting lost. LOL Does that mean I ca take the bumper sticker magnet Victoria gave me for Christmas last year off??? It says " If you are following me, your lost to!" KIDS....




Allie also had the surprise of her life she got an I home for her pink Nano and a new Nintendo DS, yes in pink...

Happening's in December

Victoria and Allie's annual Christmas ornaments. Ever since each of the girls were born they have given ornaments to family members. Thay have their name on it and the date so it's all documented. Allie's are "The legend of the Pickle" and Victoria's are the penquins. It's fun, they have been making their own now for several years. Everyone looks forward to seeing the new ornament. My sister-in-law has a special tree with just the girls ornaments on it. How totally cool is that. We love ornaments. The girls 11 and almost 14 have enough for 2 trees each of their own. When they move out or get married they will be set and can add new ones every year. It's a nice tradition♥♥♥♥♥♥

Allie and Jeff with our REAL Christmas tree. We usually have a fake tree. When Jeff worked at Treasure Island he got a really nice fake tree. This year however he was feeling lazy and did not want to put it up. The girls were excited about the real tree, I however was not. Pine needles all over and the ornaments fall off ~ it ended up being really pretty.

These are the doomed cookies, they looked ok in the oven till the timer went off and we had flat mush.

I participater in a cookie exchange and made my sister Donna's favorite cookie recipe : Walnut Balls. They are really yummy, but it seems they were doomed from the start. I had to call her and ask her a question and ended up faking the walnut part. Then I asked Jeff to give me the flour never checking and it ended up being confectioners sugar. We had to go out and rebuy all the ingredients and start fro scratch. This was the day of the exchange. If everyone did not pitch in and help it would not have gotten done. What a great family I have!! Thanks guys♥ They ended up turing out ok. I almost called to cancel. I'm glad I didn't because I had alot of fun! Thanks Lisa♥

Allie and I were both in the Faber Holiday Concert. Allie is in the choir, girls ensemble and band. She plays the french horn.

Well alot happened during December, so much I could not update my blog.

We participated in a kids ornament exchange, this was the ornament we made and how we packaged it. I think it turned out fab if I do say so myself and it was great fun to boot. We got 7 ornaments in return. We want to particiapate again next year!!!♥ I still can not get the hang of how to set this blog up so it makes sense , so please excuse the set up and enjoy what happened.

So little time, so much to Blog!!!

I as well as everyone else learned alot and came away in such a peaceful state. All except for Val setting her shawl on fire LOL. we had candles lit and she got up to get something and the next thing you know her shawl was on fire. Thank goodness for Jane's fast thinking. Vicky fixed it for her and we all had a good laugh......

This is a Vicky and her very special shawl. She has beads, bobbles anything special to her on it. She jingles when she walks, but what a cool idea she called it her travel shawl.

This is Janet Bristow one of the co-founders and her very special shawl. This shawl is made from the leftover yarn from all the spiderwebs from every retreat. They take the yarn, it's all random tie knots and knit it in to a shawl. Anyone can knit a few rows, I did on the one being worked on now, awesome!!!



On Saturday, i attended a knitting retreat. It was wonderful. I belong to the BBPC Prayer Shawl Group ~ we make prayer shawls for the sick, new mom to be, bride to be and for anyone who needs comfort. They are blessed and given to the recipient. It's really wonderful the impact these simple shawls have. Ouer group was invited to the retreat. The guest speakers were Victoria Galo and Janet Bristow the co-founders of the movement. WOW is all i can say. If you want more info go to their web site shawlministry.com. This is a picture of us making a spider web. we each had to say how and why we joined the group. We then cut the yarn, passed our piece to someone else wrapped it around their wrists and and told them we are bound by this ministry.



I have been trying to blog about a bunch of things since Friday. On Friday 12/5 Allie my 5th grader got an award for attaining High Honor Roll. She was on the High Honor Roll all last year in 4th grade, we hope she keeps it up this year also!!! This is a picture of her and the award!♥♥♥
