Happy Mother's Day!!!! ♥♥♥

This is a picture of me and my girls ~ Allie and Victoria ~
Me, my sister Donna and mom........

These are the beautiful flowers the girls gave me for Mother's Day!

The 2nd grade class I work in made these "flower pots" for Mother's Day. They are so colorful, I still have the one Allie made me when she was in 2nd grade. She is in 6th now~

Woke up this morning, went to church, helped out with the ladies retreat, talked to alot of people I had not seen in a while, came home then we went to my parents. Had a nice time there had some good snacks and great cheesecake. It was not Vic's but it was good. We took alot of fun and silly pictures, got my dad to smile and even laugh for a photo. He never does he is so SERIOUS. Came home and relaxed and crocheted while watching Baby Boom on TV.

All in all it was a nice day. The girls with the help of my mom gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It really brightens up my family room. I wish it was a bit warmer, it was really cold here and it's suppose to be cold again tomorrow.

Good to be back!!! ~ ♥ ~

This is a picture of us Jeff, Victoria, Buddy ~ The Cake Boss ~ Allie, me and A friend Kerri in Hoboken N.J. Our Pastor's daughter, Leslie works for him. We were lucky enough to met him and the gang and have a tour. Victoria was in her glory. She whats to be a "Cake Boss" and go to school at the CIA. She is in baking now in Vo-tech and LOVING it and so are we, with all the goodies she brings home!!!!!

Hi! It's good to be back and writing a new post. This past year has been really hard for us. My husband lost his job over 1 year ago and we have been struggling ever since. Thank goodness for great family, friends and prayer. We are just trying to get thru one day at a time.

We have had to change the way we live, this has been a POSITIVE thing that has come out of all this. We are conserving energy, recycling what we can and spending less. I have always wanted to live a simpler life and now we are. We learn something new every day. This situation has also brought our family closer. We need to work and help each other.

We are finding wonder in everyday things. I just wish we were not so stressed out about paying the bills. This is where the problem is and what to do when you don't have the money. Any and all ideas are welcomed. This is how we learn to cope by other people's experiences. I know in my heart that God will provide a job for Jeff and that we are luckier than most.

I am going to update my etsy shop, http://www.yarnfreak.etsy.com/ check it out. I have alot of really fun things to add ~ peace sign bookmarks, washcloths, dishcloths, potholders, scrubbies all in really fun bright colors. Thank goodness for my crocheting and knitting. It really relaxes me and makes me feel good that I am making something beautiful. I also have a fan page on Facebook that I am trying to get together. It's a bit hard for me as I am really terrible with the computer. If you want to be a fan that would be really cool! I have 23 so far and that is just a wonderful feeling! There is a button for my fan page at the top of the blog or you can go to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!! on Facebook. I am also trying to figure out Ravelry, if you want to be a friend there I am purling angel. So bear with me as little by little I get this together and as always thanks for all the LOVE and support.♥♥♥

I leave everyone with a goodbye for now and a Happy Mothers Day for all the moms tomorrow. We will be going to my parents house in the afternoon for dessert. A low~key but nice day. After Church I just want to relax and maybe read or crochet a bit.....
LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!

Out of commission for awhile

As some of you may know for the past few years I have been having problems with my eyes. I have dry eyes which is the stem of all the problems. It affects my contacts, but my eyes are so bad that glasses at this point would not work, they would be to thick and look like coke bottles. Plus I can see better with my contacts when I don't have any problems. On Tuesday of last week somehow I scratched my left contact, wore it all day and messed up my eye. When I took it out it ripped, I really did a number on it. Tried using my old left contact which was just as bad. Since my eyes are so bad they have to special order my contacts which takes 2 weeks I called on Wednesday. I have a long time to go. I am reduced to wearing an eye patch because I can not see out of the left eye. Wish me luck, it will be a challenge at work. I have compromised depth perception now. It's amazing how this can change your whole life, even if it is just for 2 weeks. I don't think I will ever take my eyes for granted again. Will be back when I can navagate pictures and blogging better.

Way to busy!!!

Hello, just a short, short post. Have been so busy these past few weeks. Did a Christmas Boutique at a church in town last weekend. I was crazy for 2 weeks packaging and pricing all my stuff, as it turns out I had way more than I thought. Will be participating in another sale in December. At least it's all done, and ready to go for the nest sale. I will be making more scarves, hats and fingerless gloves for the sale. I will post pictures from the past weekends fun that my daughter took with my new camera soon. We are still learing how to use it.

Halloween Fun at work!!!!!

Halloween fun today at Faber School where I work as an aide in my town. This is Laurel, yes she is cute but she is a die hard Red Sox fan, and I love The NY YANKEES!!!! She dressed up as Buddy from the Cake Boss a show on TLC that takes place right here in Hoboken NJ. Victoria's Friend Leslie works for him. I just had to get a picture of her, she does look cute. Onward....
This is Mrs. Desousa, she is a great 5th grade teacher.
This is Mary, her son was in my class last year, I have to say I almost split a gut when I saw her and she posed for me. What a complete riot.......

This is Eileen I worked with her 2 years ago, another crack-up. Her face was hysterical. I had to get a picture.

This is Don another aide in the school, dressed as a cowboy, complete with the spurs.

This is Dr. Ray he teaches 5th grade Science and American History I was an aide in his class last year in the afternoon. He was giving swine flu shots..............

Megan was in my class last year and looked good enough to eat. Devin is next to her as a chef, she is my friends daughter.

This is Mrs. Kime aka Lady Liberty, she is the one who bought all the fingerless gloves from me. She teachers 3rd grade and had both my girls. They take a class trip at the end of the year to Ellis Island, this was a perfect costume.

Mary Poppins is Devin's grandmother. Man did she look really good.

Which one is the real Nancy Sager? Every year our school nurse dresses up as an unsuspecting staff member this year it was Nancy a kindergarten teacher whom I've also worked with. I have to say Ann looks just like her. The real one is on the left. When we were walking around outside for the parade, Ann was not by Nancy, so Nancy says" I lost myself". What a great sense of humor. Wonder who will be next year?

This is Melissa, the teacher I am working with this year. How cute is she? She is so nice and fun to work with to!

Here is my class during the parade. WE get to walk around the parking lot 2x. The kids love it and you get to see all the cool costumes people come up with.

Tonight is mischief night, it's usually pretty quiet around here. The girls will be dressing up tomorrow and doing some trick-or-treating. They love the candy. More on them and our last yard sale at my parents tomorrow. Stay warm, it's really cold here tonight.
