Summer happenings.....

This summer has been really busy despite our not scheduling things to do. The girls and I helped out with VBS at our church.

We also tie-dyed small backpacks as a missions project to send to Latin America. It was fun, 160 dyed with the teen youth group.

We had alot of dye left over so anyone who brought a t-shirt could tie-dye. These are the one's I did in the dark for the girls. They turned out great, the best one's I ever dyed!!!

My friend Pam and I went up to Stockton to Woodsedge Wools Farm for their fiber festival. This is the shop, The outside is huge and looks like a house.  The inside is beautiful to with lots of yummy alpaca items to buy.
The farm has 300 Alpaca's. This is the first time I have ever seen them, they are the cutest  animal and make the best yarn from their fleece.
This is my friend Pam, she is the best knitter ever. She was making a really cool sweater, this is her favorite color.♥
The girls after the show, it was in 3D, they got these cute Harry Potter glasses. My mom bought them the shirts. they each like different houses....

We were lucky to be able to go to Brick, down the shore for the weekend. We stayed at our friends Sue and Beth's hose. They have a great deck and a nice big pool.  We also went to the Tom's river ice cream festival. It was a nice weekend.
Victoria and Allie enjoying the pool.

Allie, Bailey the rat dog, we were watching him for my sister-in-law, Victoria and Gizmo Sue's dog and Beth.
                                                                   Harry potter tickets...............
Me, Victoria, Jeff and Allie in Bayville at the bay.
Jeff and the girls goofing off in the pool.
Chemo hats I made for RAJKpatterns hat drive. I sent 4 to Alabama today in the girls name in honor of Nana~Evelyn Procek who passed away from colon cancer. We hope this will bring peace and comfort to the recipient.
I have been into recycling t-shirts, these are some bracelets I made. Came out really cool. It's amazing how many things you can make from t-shirts. Anybody want to send or give me some please do so.

Finally in June we ran down to Maryland real quick and had some oral surgery done. Jeff had an infection, I am getting an implant and Victoria had 4 wisdom teeth removed. This is Lumbo our good friend who performed all the surgeries and Vic with her ice pack Christi his wife devised....

Hope everyone is having a great summer. Please check out my etsy shop www.yarnfreak.etsy.com and my fan facebook page

Happening's in December

Victoria and Allie's annual Christmas ornaments. Ever since each of the girls were born they have given ornaments to family members. Thay have their name on it and the date so it's all documented. Allie's are "The legend of the Pickle" and Victoria's are the penquins. It's fun, they have been making their own now for several years. Everyone looks forward to seeing the new ornament. My sister-in-law has a special tree with just the girls ornaments on it. How totally cool is that. We love ornaments. The girls 11 and almost 14 have enough for 2 trees each of their own. When they move out or get married they will be set and can add new ones every year. It's a nice tradition♥♥♥♥♥♥

Our house lit up!!!

Snowflake lights and Allie in the window.

The fireplace and stockings all hung and waiting for Santa♥

The tree in the living room decorated.

Allie and Jeff with our REAL Christmas tree. We usually have a fake tree. When Jeff worked at Treasure Island he got a really nice fake tree. This year however he was feeling lazy and did not want to put it up. The girls were excited about the real tree, I however was not. Pine needles all over and the ornaments fall off ~ it ended up being really pretty.

Our house decorated for the holidays!!!!

Cookies in the garbage, how sad.

These are the good ones.

These are the doomed cookies, they looked ok in the oven till the timer went off and we had flat mush.

I participater in a cookie exchange and made my sister Donna's favorite cookie recipe : Walnut Balls. They are really yummy, but it seems they were doomed from the start. I had to call her and ask her a question and ended up faking the walnut part. Then I asked Jeff to give me the flour never checking and it ended up being confectioners sugar. We had to go out and rebuy all the ingredients and start fro scratch. This was the day of the exchange. If everyone did not pitch in and help it would not have gotten done. What a great family I have!! Thanks guys♥ They ended up turing out ok. I almost called to cancel. I'm glad I didn't because I had alot of fun! Thanks Lisa♥

What a beautiful smile!!! Those braces paid off!

Victoria in her "DRESS" going to the Winter Wonderland Dance at LMS. Notice it had to be black. You look great VIC!♥

Nice shoes too!!!

Allie and I were both in the Faber Holiday Concert. Allie is in the choir, girls ensemble and band. She plays the french horn.

Well alot happened during December, so much I could not update my blog.
We participated in a kids ornament exchange, this was the ornament we made and how we packaged it. I think it turned out fab if I do say so myself and it was great fun to boot. We got 7 ornaments in return. We want to particiapate again next year!!!♥ I still can not get the hang of how to set this blog up so it makes sense , so please excuse the set up and enjoy what happened.

Friday

Well it's June 27th, I have been off from school for 1 week. I must say I really have not done much, mostly I'VE BEEN LAZY AND AM LOVING IT!!!! As of late I have been frustrated with the computer. My computer knowledge is very limited to say the least. I wish I knew more, my kids are 100% better than I am.
I have been buying a lot of stuff on ETSY and enjoying getting fab packages in the mail. I am also trying to get the things together to open my own shop: GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!!! It's a lot of work, My friend Sharon a totally awesome graphic artist hooked me up with my logo. It's totally fab and everyone who sees it LOVES IT. I have ordered stamps and fabric tags and all sorts of stuff to attach to or hand out as a freebie in the package and on top of all that have been crocheting my brains out. Still into washcloths I have come up with two patterns I would like to sell on ETSY A baby washcloth and a face scrubbie. Am still working out the patterns but it has been fun.
I also need to clean my house and get a huge dumpster to throw out all the crap and a lot of it is crap I'm sad to say, that we have accumulated.
My kids have been at my mom's for a few days nice for all concerned, she is teaching them how to cook, shopping, garage sailing and a lot of other fun stuff. I feel I should be paying her for CAMP GRANDMA AND PA-PA. They both LOVE seeing all their grand kids, which is a blessing for everyone!!!
Ta ta for now ~ Debbie
